Parica from the Katukina tribe has wonderful overtones of deep flora within the forest. The powder is of fine quality and is slightly darker grey than usual. On first application it appears supremely powerful, and within a few moments levels out to a deep serenity and clarity. Parica seems to support the sinuses long after use and is good for the mucous membranes. A freshness continues long after the effects have dissipated. Still a very strong variety from the Katukina.

This is a Rapé that acts on the heart Chakra, responsible for supporting unconditional love and compassion. And due to stimulation of the umbilical Chakra, can be considered beneficial for issues in relationships. The fine powder absorbs well and it tends to remain in the nostrils for the duration of the sitting. A very fresh preparation well received by all. Definitely one for the collection.

This is an extremely fine and dry powder. It takes great effort to produce such a fine powder at a 150 micron fineness. This is our standard because this provides the best Rapé experience. All our Rapé is processed to a high standard and consistent fineness and dryness, using laboratory grade sieves and dehydrating equipment, before packaging.

"...To test this new Katukina Parika Rapé I had set my intention on a good grounding. I test as always with 2 small scoops, in order to feel the comparison with other blends. The start of the Rapé was sharp and immediately a lot of tears flowed. The Rapé does not easily find his way to the throat so very pleasant. A very strong sense of 'presence' was immediately felt. All senses were sharpened. I could hear my own voice very clear, all sounds was very audible. It is hard to describe but I felt how each observation went off very well in myself. For me this feels like a good 'grounding' Rapé, one that brings you well here and now. Ideal if you want to feel good after a day in other realities (such as a day of work at the computer), it shows you where you actually are and brings you back. We all know that feeling that we mainly hang around in our head, at some story, but not here in our body. This Rapé certainly does the trick. I took this Rapé one day after an intense ceremonial work with a group of people. In my opinion this becomes one of the Rapés that I will use more often for myself to conclude a ceremony and to land well in the present to listen to what my body needs at that moment. This Rapé gave me no nausea or dizziness, but I felt my body as such that I had to surrender to the signals, these were fatigue and I could find a deep healing calm to lie down. After a while I experienced a lightness in my chest and abdominal area, an openness, a very pleasant feeling, the subtle work of the Tabaco was working even deeper. Clearly a Rapé that can be used for many purposes. My conclusion after this first experience is: good grounding in the here and now, softness for myself, and seeing things as they are, clearly..."

"...After several months of intense work with Yemanja, I felt ready to try out and commune with other Rapé's, and this was one of them. Wow, amazingly grounding it is. Yemanja brings me to higher spheres (while still staying connected to the body, emotions, and the heart) as in a more vertical connection. Katukina or Catuquina, Katokina, Katukena, Katukino are generic terms that are attributed to five linguistically distinct but geographically proximate indigenous groups that live in southwestern Brazil at the border of the Amazonas and Acre. The Katukina are a tribe that is very connected to the usage of sacred plants. They consider themselves as the first tribe to receive the Kambo medicine straight from the frog. They still carry a vast knowledge about plants and the spirit of the world. Their Rapé is strong and deep, and it carries the wild and powerful spirit of the jungle.
