This is a highly praised Rapé. Yawanawa Tsunu is an old time classic and has been one of the very first varieties of Rapé that became available back in the days. All the ingredients have been collected from the indigenous themselves and have been prepared and blended by a non-tribal shaman friend who lives in Brazil.

This is a typically Grey Rapé blend with a powerful initial effect that sometimes takes a few minutes to stabilise from. Very comfortable overall and a sense of opening takes place within the cerebral points around the rear of the head. Yawanawá Tsunu has a typically uplifting and clearing frequency. It has strong feminine qualities and is ideal for balancing energies and finding deep grounding. Eyes will generally water and the powder is removed from the nose via blowing out much easier than most other blends. Rarely does it make its way into the back of the throat. This blend is finely powdered and generally absorbs directly into the nose. Subtly powerful and a favourite amongst regular users of traditional Rapé blends. Origin: Brazil, Acre.

This is an extremely fine and dry powder. It takes great effort to produce such a fine powder at a 150 micron fineness. This is our standard because this provides the best Rapé experience. All our products are processed to a high standard and consistent fineness and dryness, using laboratory grade sieves and dehydrating equipment, before packaging.

The Yawanawá, or the tribe of the white-lipped peccary, are a small tribe of 1,300 people, living remotely in only a few villages along the Gregório River. They are known as warriors, as they always keep on fighting, even in hard times. At some point in history their tribe was almost extinct, with only about 300 members left. Nowadays their tribe has grown again, and their traditions and knowledge have been conserved in a very strict way.

The Yawanawá were the first tribe that initiated a woman to become a shaman, setting a huge example in the history of shamans. In their language, rapé is called Rume and the Yawanawá preferably blend Rume with Tsunu ashes and mapacho, which gives this special blend a very refined taste. In addition, Tsunu is used for healing purposes and has a supportive role during ayahuasca ceremonies.

Tsunu or Txunú is an indigenous name for Platycyamus regnellii. A tree with beautiful purple flowers that belongs to the Fabaceae family, and grows in Brazil. The ashes of the bark of the tree are used by some tribes, e.g. the Yawanawá and the Kuntanawa, to blend and intensify their Rapé. Hence the name of their Rapé: Tsunu. The word "Tsunu" is also often used for "ashes" but it specifically points to ashes of the Txunú tree. The general name for ashes in Brazil is "Cinza"

The ashes of the Txunú tree bark are often used for healing and curing purposes in Amazonian tribes and have a supportive role during Ayahuasca ceremonies. Mostly, the Tsunu is used before Ayahuasca, enhancing the effects and opening the spirit for the ceremony, but also during intense ceremonial experiences, easing the vomiting and cleaning. Furthermore, the Txunú tree bark seems to facilitate healing by opening the heart and removing energy imbalances.
