Handcrafted Peruvian Kuripe – Sacred Materials & Deep Application

These beautifully handcrafted Kuripes, made in Peru, are designed for both functionality and precision. They are carved from sacred materials such as Chonta wood, Palo Santo, Sheep Bone, Palo Purpura, and Algarrobo, each carrying its own unique energy and purpose within Amazonian traditions.

Chonta Wood – Highly revered among indigenous communities, Chonta is a dense and durable black palm wood traditionally used for crafting weapons, ceremonial staffs, and protective amulets. It is believed to ward off negative energies and strengthen spiritual focus.
Palo Santo – Known as "Holy Wood," Palo Santo is deeply purifying and grounding. When carved into a Kuripe, it retains its natural aromatic essence, subtly releasing its cleansing fragrance with every use. It is often associated with spiritual renewal, clarity, and protection.
Sheep Bone – Used in shamanic traditions for its connection to ancestral wisdom and grounding energy, bone Kuripes symbolize stability and resilience, helping the user establish a deep-rooted connection to the earth and spirit.
Palo Purpura (Purple Wood) – Also known as Palo Rosa, this exotic Amazonian wood is appreciated for its beautiful rose-colored grain and fine texture. It is naturally resistant to decay and pests, and its oils have been traditionally used in healing practices and aromatherapy.
Algarrobo – A strong, reddish-brown hardwood that thrives in the dry forests of northern Peru. It is known for its resilience and longevity, and the tree itself produces nutrient-rich pods that have been used in traditional medicine for immune system support and vitality.

Unlike decorative models, these Kuripes are simple yet highly effective, with a sharp angle that directs the medicine almost vertically into the sinuses, ensuring deep penetration for a profound and immersive application. The medium-sized channel allows for a balanced airflow, making it suitable for both experienced users and dedicated novices.

Each Kuripe is fitted with an adjustable black wax cord and two wooden beads, allowing for a comfortable and customized fit. The polished finish highlights the natural beauty of the materials, ensuring an authentic connection to the elements.

Since these are handmade from natural materials, each piece is one of a kind, with slight variations in color, grain, and texture. The Kuripe you receive will be similar in design but may differ slightly from the images, making every piece a unique and personal tool for sacred practice.
