Brass Tibetan Dorje - Vajra
In Tibetan Buddhism, the Dorje, also known as the Vajra, is a central ritual object and sacred symbol. It represents the indestructible truth of enlightenment, combining the strength of a diamond and the irresistible force of a thunderbolt. The central sphere symbolises the axis of the universe, the point where the spiritual and material worlds meet in perfect balance. From this centre emerge Lotus bases that signify purity, the ability to rise above ignorance while remaining untouched by it, like a Lotus blooming clean from muddy water. From each Lotus base extend prongs that represent different qualities of awakening. In the five-prong form, the central prong embodies the unity of all enlightened qualities, while the four outer prongs stand for the Four Immeasurables: loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. These together express the complete virtues of the awakened mind. While the form, size, and detail of the Dorje may vary, its meaning remains constant as a tool and emblem of unshakable, compassionate wisdom.
Brass Tibetan Dorje Vajra (long)
This small but well-defined Vajra is cast from solid brass with a deep golden tone, its recessed areas darkened to bring out detail. The central sphere is smooth and rounded, linking two symmetrical ends. Each end begins with a Lotus base that opens into five prongs. Four outer prongs curve inward to meet at the tips, forming a rounded crown, while the central prong projects straight ahead, slightly longer and more pointed. The carved reliefs and gentle ridges are distinct to the fingertips, allowing the structure to be traced easily. Its size makes it comfortable to hold during meditation or to display on an altar, offering both symbolic depth and a satisfying tactile presence. Dimensions: 5,5 x 1,5 cm.
Brass Tibetan Dorje Vajra (short)
This compact five-prong Dorje Vajra features a small loop at the top, making it easy to personalise with decorative beads or cords, or to wear as a pendant or keyring. Cast from brass with a warm golden colour and darker carved recesses, it has a rounded central sphere that flows into Lotus bases at each end. From these bases, the five prongs emerge, the four outer ones curving inward to meet at the tips while the central prong extends forward. The proportions are slightly shorter and sturdier than the classic style, giving it a pleasing weight and firmness in the hand. The design is cut deeply enough for the reliefs and curves to be clearly felt, making it a satisfying tactile object as well as a visual one. Dimensions: 4,6 x 1,7 cm.
Brass Tibetan Phurba
The Phurba is a ritual implement found in Tibetan Buddhist and Himalayan shamanic traditions. It symbolises the power to subdue negative forces, to cut through obstacles, and to fix intention in place. This miniature brass Phurba has a small loop at the top, allowing it to be used as a pendant, keyring, or adorned with decorative cords. It is cast in warm golden brass with recessed areas darkened for contrast. The handle begins with a small stylised head that leads into a short grip, then flows into the three-sided blade form. Each triangular face tapers to a point, with the central ridges distinct under the fingers. Though small enough to carry easily, it retains the sharp definition of its symbolic form. Dimensions: 5,3 cm x 1 cm.
Brass Tibetan Double Dorje Vajra
The double Dorje, or Vishvavajra, symbolises stability and unshakable foundation, extending the protective qualities of the Vajra in all four directions. Cast in brass with a warm golden tone and darker recesses, it has a smooth central sphere from which four identical Vajra heads radiate. Each head begins with a Lotus base and ends in five prongs, the four outer prongs meeting at their tips and the central prong projecting straight. The symmetry creates a cross-shaped form that is pleasing to the touch as well as to the eye. A small loop at the top allows it to be worn as a pendant, used as a keyring, or decorated with beads or cords. Dimensions: 3,8 x 3,8 cm.
