Charcoal Discs for Incense Burning

Charcoal Discs or Tablets are essential for burning non-combustible incenses like resins, herbs, and powdered mixtures, providing a reliable, long-lasting burn. Infused with potassium nitrate for quick and even ignition and with a burn time of approximately two hours, they are ideal for both short and extended incense sessions.

How to Use Charcoal Discs

Place a charcoal disc in a heatproof dish or a shell, such as an abalone shell, to protect surfaces from high heat. For added safety, place a natural substance like gravel or sand at the bottom of the dish or shell. This layer acts as insulation, preventing the charcoal disc from overheating the surface beneath it and reducing the risk of burns or table damage.

Light the edge of the charcoal disc with a match or lighter. Avoid holding the disc in your hand while lighting it, as it will ignite quickly across the surface. Once it begins to glow, the disc is ready for use.

A fully ignited disc will burn for up to 2 hours, allowing you to enjoy long-lasting aromatic releases. Sprinkle small amounts of herbs, resins, or powder onto the disc as needed throughout the burn for a continuous fragrance.

To maintain the quality of your charcoal discs, store them in an airtight container or bag in a cool, dry place. This prevents moisture absorption and ensures they’re always ready for use.

Safety Note

Always use caution when handling and lighting charcoal discs. Ensure your dish or surface is heat-resistant and keep the surrounding area clear of flammable materials to prevent accidents. Adding sand or gravel beneath the disc can provide extra protection from heat buildup.

Whether for creating a calming ambiance, enhancing spiritual practices, or simply enjoying aromatic scents, Charcoal Discs make incense burning safe, convenient, and enjoyable.
