Stone Box with OM Metal Emblem

This compact box is crafted from solid stone and finished in a deep black tone. When opened, the inside reveals the natural character of the stone beneath the surface, suggesting that the exterior has been carefully polished and possibly coated rather than being naturally black throughout. The finish is consistent on all outer faces, including the underside, giving the box a composed and uniform appearance.

The lid closes firmly and precisely, supported by well-fitted metal hinges that allow for smooth opening while keeping the box securely shut when closed. The overall construction feels deliberate and robust, without looseness or play.

Centered on the lid is a raised OM emblem with a diameter of approximately 8 cm. The central OM symbol is smooth and gently rounded, rising clearly above the background surface. It is surrounded by a circular band of interlaced weavework, reminiscent of Celtic knot-style braiding. This woven ring forms a continuous, unbroken pattern that frames the symbol and gives the emblem a sense of containment and continuity. While the motif resembles Celtic ornamental geometry, it is rendered in a neutral, non-specific style rather than referencing a particular historical tradition.

The emblem is cast from silver-coloured metal. The recessed areas of both the OM symbol and the surrounding braid are subtly oxidized, while the raised surfaces are polished. This contrast gives the emblem depth and definition without excessive shine. The emblem protrudes approximately 1 mm above the lid surface, remaining tactile but unobtrusive.

The short sides of the box are softly rounded, while the front and back edges remain straight, giving the piece a balanced geometry that feels both gentle and structured.
