Katukina Guayusa
Although some of the ingredients in this Rapé are sourced from the Katukina people, it is not a real tribal Katukina Rapé. Katukina Guayusa is a trans-continental blend, mixing Brazilian Rapé with the Ecuadorian Guayusa plant. Guayusa leaves have been discovered in buriel sites with snuff and enema paraphernalia indicating ancient use. The dried leaves are usually wrapped in packets, which are then strung together to form large wreaths. Throughout the Amazon these wreaths can be seen hanging outside local tiendas. Guayusa contains upto 2% Caffeine, and Guaranine and Theobromine. It is used by people of the Amazon basin to make an energizing tea and as herbal medicine. It is said to have the interesting effect of inducing lucid dreaming. For this reason, it is known as the "watchman's plant", as even when sleeping you are aware of your external surroundings. For those interested in shamanic dreaming this is certainly the plant to explore. The producer of this Rapé added this unique ingredient to a Xixá, Paricá and Arapiraca string tobacco, to produce a very energetic blend. The caffeine in the Guayusa makes this an energetic mixture, good for working hard, excercise, or staying up late. This Rapé looks very dark in colour, yet the effects are more of a strong grey Rapé. It produces strong initial effects that can be described as a high pitch, icy and burning sensation that cuts like a dagger. It has a nice earthy flavor with pleasant grounding tones. Its prominent character is stimulating and sharp. Eyes will water. The icy sharpness and the following mental clarity will lasts long. Some time is needed to assimilate the experience.

Katukina Cumaru Grey
This tribal Rapè from the Katukina is similar to Katukina Cumaru, though this one is much more grey in appearance and effect. It contains ashes from Cumaru bark (Dipteryx odorata). Cumaru is also known as the Tonka bean tree and has a long tradition of being used as a flavorful ingredient in snuffs, sweets, and foods. Not much information came with this rare and genuine Rapé. This is one of several varieties of Rapé and ashes that were collected for us. A friend who was traveling the entire South Americas in 2017 has visited many different tribes in search for knowledge and exchange of shamanic plants, ashes and Rapé snuffs. After negotiating the contributions and the purpose and goals of this exchange it resulted in a promising benefit for all involved. Over time we were presented with a unique collection of genuine ashes and Rapé's that were produced with the intention to be shared with a new and wide audience, worldwide. And to work towards a new future exchange of knowledge and medicines between cultures. This unique item is one of its kind and comes from a new collaboration between cultures far apart. The money from this exchange was used to buy a new boat for the village, and to construct the house of the medicine for visitors, to facilitate healing ceremonies using Ayahuasca, Rapé and Kambo.

Katukina Selva
Katukina Selva gives one a sense of being right there in the deep of the Amazon. Even at lower doses. Larger doses can extend or heighten the effect. Its subtle fragrances and plant like flavours make it deeply invigorating. In light of the fact that it only contains Tobacco and Ashes it is interesting to note that the Tobacco used was cured on a fire rather than by the sun due to the conditions in the jungle presently. The physical effects can be said to be milder than the Força for instance but the mental effects are undoubtedly stronger and more noticeable. especially after removal from the passageways. This particular type has been produced by a Katukina shaman that lives 20 hours by boat along the Amazon, and who lives from hunting, fishing and planting Bananas and Yuca. On first impressions to a Rapé connoisseur, one might think you were using a grey Nu-Nu. the combination of fire cured jungle Tobacco plants and ashes are unique in its own sense. This is, by far, one of the nicest and easiest to take of all the Rapé’s available and hardly any physical purging effects are noticeable as barely any powder makes its way to the back of the throat. Unique, rare and we may never come across this same source again. A true collector's item! This is one of 10 different varieties of Rapé that were specifically made for us. A friend who was traveling the entire South Americas in 2015 has visited many different tribes and requested each tribe to make a special batch of their most reverred and powerful snuffs. And to work towards a new future exchange of knowledge and medicines between cultures. This unique Rapé is one of its kind and comes from a new collaboration between cultures far apart.

Katukina Cipo Jiboia
This exclusive tribal Rapé from the Katukina has the appearance of a dark lava sand and carries a pungent aroma. It is composed of Corda Tabaco, Tsunu tree ash, Wacha Hichi tree ash and the plants "Samsara" and "Cipo Jiboia". Cipo Jiboia is a liana and is used in Rapé to bring strength and good luck. This liana apparently contains a "sweet water" that when either drank or when used in Rapé is supposed to cleanse the body. The Samsara plant is used to bring beauty and love to ones life, to open the heart and to aid good thinking and even to bring a good woman into ones life, according to the maker. Upon use this Rapé its hot and fiery nature becomes apparent, as an initial burst of heat is felt, not slicing or painful and is followed by a steady glowing of warmth in the nasal passages. It lifts ones spirit, brings a feeling of power and opens the users perception up to a more thorough experience of their immediate surroundings externally, whilst simultaneously expanding inner space. A spiced afterglow somewhat akin to cinnamon is present and persistent, and not at all unpleasant! This Rapé has been made by an experienced shaman of a Katukina village deep in the jungle with assistance from his two sons. They maintain their traditions in a time when many are not. Katukina Mulateiro
Rapé made with Mulateiro ashes exceed most other Rapé's in strength and intensity. This Rapé can be considered a non tribal blend yet it is made with ingredients obtained from the Katukina people. The techniques to make this Rapé remain traditional. A large mortar and pestle is used to manually pound the ingredients into a fine dust. It is a very fine powder that has a light brown appearance. It provides a sharp initial sensation that has a tendency to immediately make the eyes water. The mind is released of thoughts and one is brought into a peaceful space with a high level of focus. Mulateiro ashes (Calycophyllum spruceanum) are considered to have anti aging as well as anti parasitical properties and are said to be used in Rapé to release tensions of the right and left cerebral lobes, thereby providing profound balance and equilibrium of mind and body. The ash of the cask of the Mulateiro tree is a powerful ash used to firm spiritual works, and is considered good for concentration. The Mulateiro bark is used for it’s rejuvenating qualities and for other medicinal use apart from it's use in Rapé.
