Katukina Special
A fine fusion of traditional Rapè's. A Rapé that deserves the name Katukina Special. We blended it ourselves using 2 varieties of Katukina Rapé. Strong and powerful. In larger doses it can be overwhelming and time is needed to fully recover from the initial effects. Even in considerably smaller amounts it can be to much for someone new to Rapè. Darker and heavier than most preparations this blend of four very powerful types can lodge itself into the throat passage and takes some effort to completely remove afterwards. Be prepared to take time out to recover from using this special mix. This Rapé is by now sold out and only available in this set.

Katukina Cipo Jiboia
This exclusive tribal Rapé from the Katukina has the appearance of a dark lava sand and carries a pungent aroma. It is composed of Corda Tabaco, Tsunu tree ash, Wacha Hichi tree ash and the plants "Samsara" and "Cipo Jiboia". Cipo Jiboia is a liana and is used in Rapé to bring strength and good luck. This liana apparently contains a "sweet water" that when either drank or when used in Rapé is supposed to cleanse the body. The Samsara plant is used to bring beauty and love to ones life, to open the heart and to aid good thinking and even to bring a good woman into ones life, according to the maker. Upon use this Rapé its hot and fiery nature becomes apparent, as an initial burst of heat is felt, not slicing or painful and is followed by a steady glowing of warmth in the nasal passages. It lifts ones spirit, brings a feeling of power and opens the users perception up to a more thorough experience of their immediate surroundings externally, whilst simultaneously expanding inner space. A spiced afterglow somewhat akin to cinnamon is present and persistent, and not at all unpleasant! This Rapé has been made by an experienced shaman of a Katukina village deep in the jungle with assistance from his two sons. They maintain their traditions in a time when many are not. This is one of several varieties of Rapé and ashes that were collected for us. A friend who was traveling the entire South Americas in 2017 has visited many different tribes in search for knowledge and exchange of shamanic plants, ashes and Rapé snuffs. After negotiating the contributions and the purpose and goals of this exchange it resulted in a promising benefit for all involved. Over time we were presented with a unique collection of genuine ashes and Rapé's that were produced with the intention to be shared with a new and wide audience, worldwide. And to work towards a new future exchange of knowledge and medicines between cultures. This unique item is one of its kind and comes from a new collaboration between cultures far apart.

Katukina Grey
This is a new blend made in our own space, and like Clarity, Orchid Fever and Pineal Flush, a unique and complex home-made Rapé that contains an endless array of ingredients. With a variety of tribal Katukina Rapé's and ashes and several types of Rustica Tobacco's as basis, numerous aromatic and magical ingredients and fragrances were added over time. This new Rapé comes from a barrel that has been maturing over a year's time. As the main ingredient of this blend is a powerful Katukina Rapé, we have called this "Katukina Grey". However it is not a traditional Katukina production. Katukina Grey is a medium strength all-round Rapé for opening of the astral gates, centering and guidance, striking ones mind with power and motivation, and providing male energy and refocus. This light grey Rapé has a mild musty aroma with an herbaceous character reminiscent of summer and rosehip bushes. The Rapé that can be described as moderate with a manageable initial searing kick, that however lasts a bit longer than most other Rapé's. At higher doses, it can be perceived as the radiant sensation descending from the top of the skull down through the head and further down in the body. This sensation along with a quieting of the mental chatter is very relaxing, focusing and leads the user to its center, where the gates are opened and visions and astral impressions can be received. The plant spirit is somewhat of a trixter, but guiding and protecting, not unlike Hindu god Ganesha, the Roman Janus, or other gatekeeping spirits. Even at higher doses the plant spirit opens the gates soft and welcoming. Ideal for continuous use as a link back to ones being's core, or ceremonial with the intention to open gateways, start new projects, or land in a safe and secure place. At lower doses this Rapé is soothing and relaxing, at larger doses it turns the internal winds in motion and the mundane is replaced with that beyond.

Kuntanawa Apuxuri
This is an exclusive Rapé of the Kuntanawa people. Made with with organic Moy Tabaco of the region, and ashes of the Sapota tree. This Rapé gains it's special character from the local medicine called Apuxuri. It has traditionally been used for many problems like fever, and general weakness, headaches and pain in the eyes. In Rapé it works good for headaches and pressure on the eyes, and as a general "pick me up". In the forest people also drink it as a tea, instead of coffee, just for its pleasant taste and its uplifting properties. Kuntanawá Apuxuri has a light sensual effect and unique flavor that hits you immediately. The fine powder reaches complete absortion into one's centre, and a high vibration rapidly channels through. Apuxuri has a clear, high and sharp initial feeling that seems to bring instant insight and a clear unchattered mind, to fully concentrate on being in the moment. The ultrafine dust enters intensely and bits reaching the back of the throat is minimal and almost unnoticeable. Overall the flavour its quite exceptable and unique. Subtle after effects last for some time, and any background mind-intensity is eliminated. Overall, a very balanced Rapè with its own essence and character.

Kuntanawa Trevo Cumaru
Kuntanawa means People of the Coconut, because they are known to traditionally eat mainly palm nuts. Their chief, Pedro Kuntanawa, made this particular Rapé. Made with a locally produced and harvested organic Moy Tabacco (Nicotiana rustica) and the ashes of Pau Pereira (Tsunu) and a herb locally named Trevo Cumaru. Trevo Cumaru is Pedro´s personal favorite. He uses this herb, considering it a medicine that helps to firm the mind, clear negative thoughts and bring inner peace in the spiritual domain. It is a herb he has studied extensively in his Rapé work and has meditated on it when in ceremony. He uses this Rapé in daily life but especially rates it in spiritual works such as Ayahuasca. He says that in ceremony this Rapé helps him a lot in concentrating his mind and firming his thoughts to be able to do his healing work and his studying of the mysteries of the forest. This is another genuine tribal, and exquisitely powerful Rapé from our close friend who lives in Brazil and is exchanging with the tribes people. Pedro is a good friend of ours and we work with him for many years.

Kuntanawa Alfavaca da Mata
Alfavaca de Mata Rapé has been made by a member of the Kuntanawa tribe that lives along the Jurua river close to the Peruvian border, on the river Tejos, a side river from the Jurua. This Rapé is prepared with a base of local organically grown Tobacco and ashes of the Tsunu tree. Alfavaca da Mata is a herb that helps against what the Indigenous call the 'Panema', a general negative energy that brings sickness, uncomfortable feeling and makes things go wrong in daily life when negative energy manifests and starts to accumulate in the energy field of a person. Certain herbs and medicines help to clear it away, including Kambo, Sananga and certain types of Rapè. This blend can be considered of those types, with a strong but clearing and opening sensation with minimal build up in the throat. As a fine powder, most is absorbed into the nose and even though the first moment is sharp and intense the overall effects are managable. The tonal quality is high frequency and afterwards one can feel refreshed and ready again to deal with the realities of every day life.

Yawanawa Murici Forca
A Rapé from the time we just opened our company. No longer available but saved for the collectors and connoisseurs of Rapé. This blend contains ashes of the Murici tree (Byrsonima crassifolia). A traditional folk medicine plant, which is used in Rapé to clear energies that accumulate in the lower abdomen. Deeper and darker in appearance than most blends. It is advisable to take a moment out of time to administer. This blend of Rapé has a powerful strength to it, giving a very sharp and extremely clearing vibration. Barely any powder makes its way to the throat and being very fine, the powder tends to absorb directly into the vessels of the nose. Very calming after effects reside with a subtle pressure behind the eyes. The producer is by now very well known for making some of the strongest of all Rapé's. This Rapé is one of our classics. The Murici tree (Byrsonima crassifolia) comes from the Malpigheaceae family and is an evergreen tree that is widely distributed in South and Central America and Mexico. Since pre-columbian times this sacred tree is traditionally use as a folk medicine for different purposes, including the treatment of coughs, gastrointestinal disorders, gynecological inflammations, skin infections (Heinrich et al. 1992; Leonti et al. 2001), and snakebites (Rastrelli et al. 1997). Moreover, experimental studies showed that this tree can exert strong antimicrobial (Martínez-Vázquez et al. 1999), anti spasmogenic (Béjar et al. 1993), and anti-inflammatory activities (Maldini et al. 2009).

Yawanawa Dieta
As with most real Yawanawa Rapés the recipe is predictable: it is the classic and as some of the older members of the tribe say the only recipe that truly deserves the name Yawanawa; Tobacco and Tsunu ashes. Naturally the younger generation is more flexible in their recipes. That said this Rapé is not as "grey" as many made by the Yawanawa and is a light sandy colour due to the lower ash content. It is not as sharp on the sinuses and the initial hit is not as abrupt or painful as many. It imparts a gentle warming with the tobacco coming through with an almost peppery sensation. It is a very calming, meditative and pleasantly persistent in effect. As the recipe is often similar what makes the character of the different Yawanawa Rapés or 'Rumã' as they call it in their language, is the energy of the one who makes it. His intention, his focus, his state of mind, the whole energy of the person is in the finished Rapé. That’s why it is important that the maker is dedicated to the spirituality of his people and he never looses sight that he is making Rapé for others to heal themselves or connect to their spirituality. That is exactly what makes this Rapé special, it was made not only by someone who has completed a diet but this batch of Rapé was made during his diet, a year long mystical journey of getting in touch with his tradition and cultural essence, of communicating with the non physical plain, of learning the mysteries of their spiritual science. They have many diets in their tradition but the one year long "Muka" diet is their main initiation where one goes from being a “normal” person to someone dedicated to medicine, who knows how to pray, to heal and who has truth in his words. This Rapé was made by Shaneihu Yawanawa, one of chief Nixiwaka's 33 children and grandson on his mothers side to Pajé (medicine man) 'Yawarani' who recently passed away completing 105 years on this globe. Yawarani, together with his friend Tata were the last keepers of the tradition when the Yawanawa in the eighties started to reconnect to their cultural essence, a true legend who until the very end of his well lived life was active, worked, joked, sang, prayed and taught people his knowledge and wisdom. Shaneihu being probably the last he guided on his diet. Shaneihu has lived some years in the city where he got his university degree after which he decided to move back to the forest and dedicate his time to his family and tradition and to sharing those with the outside world. He is a very talented musician and his CD Kanaro can be found on Katukina. This is a truly wonderful collection of medicine songs. This Rapé is a "one off" since Shaneihu has finished his diet and although his Rapé's are always of excellent quality this one is very special for being made in this deep concentration and connection to the ancestral force of the forest. Haux Haux!

Yawanawa Cumaru
A deeply intense and strong dark Yawanawá style Rapé containing Tobacco and Tonka Bean Tree (Cumaru) ashes. Yawanawá Cumaru is extremely grounding and has the ability to put the user into deep trance like states. It easily makes it way into the back of the throat, and in some occasions can cause deep nausea and detoxification. As with the Canela De Velho, purging is quite possible and the aftertaste although quite pleasant is extremely strong and can cause a continuous stream of phlegm in the throat. Intention and setting have an important role in the administration of this Rapé and one should take time and space to prepare for its effects.
