Arara Sanu

Bottle, 10 Ml, 7 Gr from Brazil (SKU 4349)

(Batch #2655) Arara Sanu has a sharpness and intensity unlike most other blends. As with many grey types this preparation is initially very strong in the first instance, then becomes very manageable after the stinging effects have resided. This is due to the nature of the ashes. This preparation could be perfect for adding ones own personal preference of Tabaco varieties, calming down the effects of the ashes and heightening the effects of the chosen Tabaco. Very similar to the grey Tsunu varieties. More information can be found below.

Arara Sanu has a sharpness and intensity unlike most other blends. Its grey appearance and fine quality to the powder help the absorption into the sinuses. Very similar in colour and appearance to the grey Tsunu varieties. The overall effect is mildly stimulating and balanced, and some watering of the eyes is expected.

Sanu is the, word for Tsunu. The Araras belong to the Shawandawa tribes group and we named this Rapé Arara because those come from the indigenous villages that are very distant and nobody usually goes there. All other Shawandawa Rapés come from Cruzeiro do Sul and are made in the city. This Rapé is made with Tabaco de Moi of a very good quality, same as the Kuntanawa usually use. The Araras are a tribe of around 1000 members, spread over a few villages along the river in the Jurua region, in marked territory. They are about to loose their language if they don't do something about it now. Apparently only 4 people speak it fluently. They have amazing chants, different from the other tribes and still a lot of knowledge about plants and spirituality. Pano linguistic trunk, very similar to the Yawanawa language.

This is an extremely fine and dry powder. It takes great effort to produce such a fine powder at a 150 micron fineness. This is our standard because this provides the best Rapé experience. All our Rapé is processed to a high standard and consistent fineness and dryness, using laboratory grade sieves and dehydrating equipment, before packaging.

Other names: Cumaru, Shawandawa Tsunu, Tsunu.
