Incense Stick from Brazil (SKU 3387)
Breuzinho incense ropes are made of multiple strands of cotton string, soaked and coated in aromatic Breuzinho resin. More information can be read below.
Breuzinho is an aromatic resin harvested from the tree Protium heptaphyllum (Burseraceae) in the Brazilian Amazon. It is commonly used as an incense in ceremony and ritual but is also utilised in local folk healing in the treatment of asthma, bronchitis and chest afflitions (1). These Breuzinho incense ropes are made of multiple strands of cotton string, soaked and coated in Breuzinho resin.
How to use:
Light the end of the rope stick, extinguish the flame and let the stick smoulder. Alternatively, for small ambiences, or for a more delicate aroma intensity, pull a single strand free from the rope and burn this. Breuzinho smoke is not dissimilar to a dark Copal in its fragrance, it relaxes the mind and encourages a space for recepitivity and reflection.
Other names: Breuzinho rope incense
